Some of my fondest memories as a young boy, are of the many camping trips my family took. Weather it was a local weekend getaway with friends, or a cross country vacations to see as may wonders as possible, they are all still fresh in my mind. The numerous places we visited, and the family and friends who joined us, created stories and memories to last a lifetime.
Our goal in developing Sunshine Acres, is to create a peaceful, relaxing, affordable and fun environment for all vacationers to enjoy. So that you too can create your own memories with your family and friends while visiting east Tennessee and the surrounding area.
our story
Nestled in a quite cove, at the base of the English Mountain range in Newport Tennessee, rests a small tract of land once part of a local family farm, now Sunshine Acres Camp & Cabins.
Family owned and operated since 2015, we presently have 16 R/V sites ranging in size from 25' to 60' in depth, all sites have water, sewer and 30 or 50 amp electric service.
Our future plans include an additional 16 R/V sites, 15 wooded tent sites with water and electric, and his & her bath house with laundry facilities.
Our long range development goals include cabins ranging from cozy cabins for 2, to a large cabin for the whole family! As well as a barn filled with activities, a pool, a playground and on site adventures!
